Jayrani Bungsy is a seasoned bilingual Senior Internal Auditor, currently working at Peel Region. Her primary role is to assist the audit and risk committee in ensuring the Region is operating in a fiscally responsible and accountable manner. She provides assurance and advisory services on governance, risk management and control, helping the Region to accomplish its business and organizational objectives.
She is Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants( ACCA -UK), Certified Internal Auditor and recently completed a Global MBA from University of London, UK.
She has more than 15 years in the Public Sector. She worked at the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development in Mauritius before moving to Canada. She also serves as Secretary to the Board at the Institute of Internal Auditors, Toronto Chapter and as Treasurer at Municipal Internal Auditors Association.
